Sean Formantes is a graphic designer and content creator based in Connecticut. For the past two years, Sean has worked at Quinnipiac University as the Community Engagement Assistant, where he creates content for the admissions Instagram, @quadmissions. He also works as a social media video producer for TSSG, a business consulting startup located in Berlin, CT. Aside from these roles, Sean is a freelance designer working with businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Formerly, Sean was the Vice President of Graphic Design at The Agency at Quinnipiac, where he oversaw the creation of design projects for clients including The Bystander Project, The Prison Project, and Gather 55. As a champion of the arts, Sean founded the Student Artists League at QU, which is a student-run arts advocacy organization that promotes creative work. He successfully led the group for its initial two years as president; a term marked with recognition for the organization’s work with the 2023 Judith Frank Student Organization of the Year Award.

As a lifelong musician, Sean is involved with The Legends A Cappella and the worship team at Elevate Life Church CT. Aside from singing, he plays the alto saxophone, piano, and acoustic guitar.

Using his mindset of leadership and growth as a basis for all he does, Sean hosts a podcast called “The Conversasean” where he unpacks his ideas on design and creativity.

Sean is a recent graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, with a BA in Graphic and Interactive Design. During his undergraduate years, Sean excelled in his studies, having been awarded with the Design Research Award and consecutively making the Dean’s List every semester. Currently, Sean is pursuing an MS degree in Interactive Media and Communications from Quinnipiac.
