Sean Formantes is a graphic designer, content creator, and creative leader from Connecticut. He is a senior Graphic and Interactive Design major at Quinnipiac University, where he is also pursuing a graduate degree in Interactive Media and Communications through an accelerated 3+1 program. Sean is a social media intern at two different organizations and works as a content creator at Quinnipiac’s Intergrated Marketing Communications Office.

Dedicated to making a positive impact, Sean is interested in how interactive media can benefit other people’s lives. Sean hosts “The Conversasean Podcast,” where he interviews friends and colleagues about their lives to inspire listeners.

Outside of classes, Sean is an on-campus leader. He is the Founder and President of the Student Artists League, an organization which aims to promote and advocate for the student art scene through events, media, public relations, and fundraising efforts. Sean is also the Co-President of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) chapter and the Social Media Manager of The Legends, Quinnipiac’s award-winning A Cappella group. Beyond college, Sean also serves as a musician and graphic designer at his local church and is a volunteer for the Connecticut Technology Council.

Formerly, Sean was the Vice President of Graphic Design for The Agency at Quinnipiac, a student-run communications firm, where he worked on creating the logo and visual identity for a university campaign recognized with awards from the PRSA Greater Connecticut Chapter. He was also formerly elected as a Senator of the Student Government Association.

Sean is currently exploring the concept of the “perfectly imperfect,” which is also the name of this blog. The goal is to reflect on the “imperfect” paradoxes within design, creativity, communication, and life, which uniquely are just somehow “perfect.” Sean is also creating a series of designs revolving around the concept.
